A Nehra

Ashish Nehra was a skilled left-arm fast bowler who represented India across all three formats of international cricket. Born in Delhi, Nehra made his mark as a reliable pace bowler known for his ability to swing the ball both ways and his knack for taking wickets in crucial moments. His international career spanned over a decade, during which he became a valuable asset in India's limited-overs setup. Nehra's statistics reflect his role as a specialist bowler, with his most successful performances coming in T20 cricket where he claimed 137 wickets at an impressive average of 23.61 across 114 matches. His ODI career was equally notable, picking up 105 wickets in 79 matches. Though his Test career was brief with just 2 appearances, Nehra found his calling in shorter formats where his variations and experience proved invaluable. He was particularly effective in the latter stages of his career, becoming a mentor figure for younger bowlers while maintaining his wicket-taking ability. Nehra's contribution to Indian cricket extended beyond statistics, as he was known for his fighting spirit and ability to perform under pressure in crucial matches.
