AC Agar
Ashton Charles Agar is an Australian left-arm orthodox spin bowler and lower-order batsman who has represented Australia across all three formats of international cricket. Making his Test debut in 2013 during the Ashes series in England, Agar announced himself on the world stage with a remarkable maiden Test innings of 98 at Trent Bridge, the highest score by a number 11 batsman in Test cricket history. This knock showcased his batting potential and fearless approach that would become hallmarks of his game. Agar has found his greatest success in the shorter formats, particularly T20 cricket where his accurate left-arm spin and useful lower-order hitting have made him a valuable asset. With 65 wickets in 64 T20 internationals at an impressive average of 25.11, he has established himself as Australia's leading T20 spinner. His ability to bowl economically in the middle overs while providing crucial breakthroughs has been instrumental in Australia's T20 campaigns. Though his Test opportunities have been limited, his performances in domestic cricket and the shorter formats continue to keep him in contention for national selection across all formats.
