Suraj Randiv was a Sri Lankan off-spin bowler who represented his country across all three formats of international cricket. Known for his accurate line and length, Randiv was a reliable option in Sri Lanka's bowling attack during his international career from 2009 to 2015. His off-spin bowling was characterized by good control and the ability to extract turn from helpful surfaces. Randiv's best returns came in Test cricket, where he claimed 43 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 37.51, establishing himself as a dependable spinner in longer format cricket. In ODIs, he proved to be an economical bowler, taking 36 wickets in 29 matches. His career was highlighted by some memorable performances against top opposition, though he was perhaps best remembered for a controversial incident during the 2011 World Cup final where he bowled a deliberate no-ball. Despite a relatively short international career, Randiv was respected for his professionalism and contribution to Sri Lankan cricket during a competitive era for the national team.
