SK Raina
Suresh Kumar Raina, fondly known as 'Chinna Thala' (Little Captain), was one of India's most dynamic limited-overs cricketers who played a pivotal role in the team's success across formats from 2005 to 2020. A stylish left-handed batsman and handy off-spin bowler, Raina was renowned for his aggressive stroke play, exceptional fielding abilities, and leadership qualities. He was instrumental in India's 2011 World Cup triumph and the 2013 Champions Trophy victory, often delivering crucial performances in pressure situations. Raina's career was defined by his adaptability and consistency in limited-overs cricket, accumulating over 12,600 international runs across ODIs and T20Is. He became the first Indian to score centuries in all three formats of international cricket and was a cornerstone of India's middle order for over a decade. His athletic fielding and safe hands made him one of the finest fielders of his generation. In the Indian Premier League, Raina enjoyed tremendous success with Chennai Super Kings, becoming one of the tournament's leading run-scorers. Though his Test career was brief, his impact in white-ball cricket remains unparalleled, retiring as one of India's most successful limited-overs cricketers.
