ST Jayasuriya was a dynamic Sri Lankan all-rounder who made his mark across all formats of international cricket. Known for his aggressive batting approach and useful spin bowling, Jayasuriya carved out a solid career representing Sri Lanka in 208 international matches across ODIs, T20Is, and Tests. In ODI cricket, Jayasuriya was at his most effective, accumulating 4,414 runs at an average of 34.76 while also contributing significantly with the ball, claiming 89 wickets at 35.78. His dual skills made him a valuable asset in the middle order, capable of accelerating the innings when needed and providing crucial breakthroughs with his spin.
