Shaun William Tait was an Australian fast bowler renowned for his express pace and ability to consistently bowl above 150 km/h. Known as one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket during his prime, Tait made his international debut in the mid-2000s and quickly established himself as a formidable limited-overs specialist. His raw pace and aggressive bowling style made him a valuable asset in Australia's white-ball cricket campaigns. Tait's career was highlighted by his performances in ODI and T20 cricket, where he claimed 62 wickets in 34 ODIs at an average of 23.56 and 79 wickets in 62 T20 matches at 22.66. His ability to bowl yorkers at extreme pace made him particularly effective in the death overs of limited-overs cricket. Despite his limited Test experience with only 3 matches, Tait's impact in shorter formats was significant. He was part of Australia's victorious 2007 World Cup campaign and played crucial roles in various T20 tournaments. Injuries hampered his career longevity, but his reputation as one of the fastest bowlers of his generation remained intact throughout his playing days.
