Ari Karvelas

Nottinghamshire's hopes of retaining the County Championship title have been all but extinguished following a heavy seven-wicket defeat to Sussex at Hove, leaving them reliant on others to stay in the race.

Sussex's Ari Karvelas and Jaydev Unadkat combined to reduce Nottinghamshire to 149-7 in their second innings, leaving the defending champions clinging on with a lead of just 31 runs.
