Sarfaraz Ahmed

Pakistan have taken the extraordinary step of dropping seven players and releasing head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed mid-series following two crushing defeats to England. Five uncapped players have been called up for the third Test at Edgbaston.

Pakistan head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed has insisted he and his squad were completely in the dark about reports that the Pakistan Cricket Board threatened to cancel the remainder of their England tour over a televised interview involving Imran Khan's sons.
